SPPP Meeting/Model shoot

Last night was our regular monthly meeting for the Society of Portrait Photographers of the Philippines (SPPP) camera club. Every month we have a photo contest based on different portrait themes, such as: Fashion, Glamour, Nude, Environmental, Corporate and Wedding. We also had our model shoot. Daniela is a 16 year old fil-am teen who volunteered for the shoot. She had so much energy that she kept on requesting for new poses! You can see how excited everyone was with her in front of the cam! She would be pursuing her modeling career in the US after her studies. I congratulate her in advance and more power Dan! :D

Fashion & Beauty

I met up with Lanie and Cherry the other day to do some beauty/fashion shots. I was glad to work with Romina again as I did some bridal shots with her before. Maha was just fantastic! Although we were working under a 5-hour period we managed to get high-quality material.

Jay & Clara - Bridal Portraits

Had my portrait session with Jay and Clara yesterday at Tagaytay. We opted to shoot the bridal portraits on a separate day. Although it is common practice to shoot the portraits on the event, my clients agree that they are really comfortable to shoot after the wedding since they have all the the time to pose and relax...

Bridal Challenge!

As a wedding photographer, I encounter all sorts of challenges on the event. From lighting conditions to crowd management it keeps me on my toes all day! But another challenge worth quoting is when a guest would hand over a camera and request that I take their group photo with it as well. This is the part after the ceremony when we try to photograph the family and guests of the couple as quickly as possible so as not to delay the next wedding lining up. At an instant, 4-6 cameras of different makes are handed over and aside from taking a shot from my camera - I'd have to take more with different camera settings! though some may look so simple I sometimes stare at the camera and wonder why don't they make 'em all the same?! Here I am working hard to take the shot! :-)
